We would like to take a moment of your time to familiarize you with our town.


We were incorporated in 1923 and our present population is approximately 2000.


The town is fortunate to have a city library located on Buckhannon Pike in front of the

Nutter Fort Elementary School.

There are several churches located within the town:

  • First Baptist Church
  • Christian Assembly
  • Union Mission Church
  • Freedom Southern Baptist Church
  • Vincent Memorial Methodist Church


  • Town Hall office hours are 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday thru Friday.


    The citizens of Nutter Fort are proud to also have a highly modern volunteer fire department and police department.

    Both departments enforce 24-hour protection to the residents.
